The inaugural function of Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) was conducted on 11.8.2022 at 9.15 a.m. in Thanam hall, KPRIET. The programme was started with the prayer song followed by the KPR Anthem. Then, Mr.R.Yukesh Reddy, IV Mech – B Sec welcomed the gathering with the fresh words. Dr. S. Ramesh Babu, Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering presided over the function and delivered presidential address. In his address, he motivated the students to learn the new technologies and requested to be a lifelong learner to lead a successful life. Followed by Mr.M.Gowtham, II Mech – A Sec introduced the Chief Guest of the function, Dr. Ramachandran GM, Chief Operating Officer, Propel Industries (P) Ltd, Coimbatore to the gathering. He briefly pointed out the achievements and the expertise of the chief guest. Then, the dias was taken over by the chief guest. Dr. Ramachandran GM formally inaugurated the Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA) activities for the Academic Year 2022 – 2023. Further, he motivated the participants by sharing his experience and the challenges he faced during his journey. He also advised the students to make themselves strong in core subjects to get placements in top Mechanical core industries. C.Madhumithra, III Mech – B Sec introduced the Office Bearers of the Association for the academic year 2022 – 2023. Followed by Mr.M.S.Dhanushh, III Mech – A Sec proposed the activities planned by the Association for the academic year 2022 – 2023. Then, Finally, S.Balamurugan, II Mech – A Sec proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was concluded with the National Anthem.
