This guest lecture introduces students to the emerging paradigm of Agentic AI, focusing on how intelligent systems can autonomously perceive, reason, and act. The session begins with an overview of Large Language Models (LLMs) and the key characteristics that differentiate Agentic AI from traditional AI systems.
Participants will explore various agent architectures, including reactive and deliberative models, along with the Belief-Desire-Intention (BDI) framework and layered architectures that enable structured decision-making. The lecture also highlights the core components of Agentic AI, emphasizing the role of functions, different types of agents, and their real-world applications.
Additionally, the session provides a beginner-friendly introduction to prompt engineering, demonstrating how tools like Hugging Face and Groq can be leveraged to design efficient and intelligent AI agents. The lecture aims to equip students with foundational knowledge and practical insights into building next-generation AI systems.
